Can you do better?

KILLER T-SHIRT CONTEST

Have you got a killer idea for a T-shirt?

We’re a bit bored of identikit, logo-heavy festival T-shirts, so we’ve enlisted some established artists and illustrators to put their own twist on the Murder on the Standon Express theme and produce some limited-edition T-shirts.  These will be available via the website during June and when we unveil the tees we’ll tell you a bit more about the artists who created them.

But we’re also keen to support up-and-coming creatives and discover any talented designers, artists and illustrators hidden among our festival-going community. So we decided to hold a competition.  If you’ve got an interesting idea for a T-shirt based around the Murder on the Standon Express theme we’d love to see it. Think murder, mystery, mayhem and madness, but feel free to interpret the theme in any way you see fit. The deadline for designs is the 21st June 2010.

How to enter…

Please email your design to design@standon-calling.com before the 21st June 2010 as a moderately high jpeg (at least 1500-pixels wide). Although please note that the final artwork will need to be supplied as either a colour-separated PSD file or a vector/bitmap based Illustrator file.

Your design should contain a maximum of three colours.

Your design should not contain any copyrighted material.

Please don’t include any fancy-pants printing techniques, such as glow in dark, fuzzy felt or marmite.

Standon Calling is running this competition with Jotta, a community for art and design  founded in partnership with the University of the Arts London.
